Moving home
Dustin moved back from a Boeing job near Seattle in 2011. The plan was to take over his father's herd. That plan was vetoed.
Today, neighbors rent the ground and run cattle here. Dustin helps with water systems, fences, and other infrastructure a few times each year, but he does not claim to manage the herd.
The name
“Calf” began as a play on caffeine. Wild Calf also carries a simple picture of a calf released into open ground, full of freedom and new energy. That meaning matters to the company, but it is not a sales claim.
The coffee
Wild Calf roasts coffee here in small batches and normally ships orders within two business days. The goal is straightforward: make coffee people want to drink again and serve them honestly.
