Privacy policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Wild Calf LLC, doing business as Wild Calf Coffee, collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit wildcalf.com, place an order, join a subscription, contact us, submit a review, or otherwise use our services.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact and account information: name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, customer account details, and communication preferences.
  • Order and payment information: products, subscriptions, discounts, transaction history, payment status, and limited payment details. Payment card numbers are processed by payment providers and are not stored directly by Wild Calf.
  • Customer service information: messages, questions, product preferences, brew details, and information you choose to share when asking for help.
  • AI coffee guide information: questions, product preferences, brewing setup details, and other information you intentionally submit when using Wild Calf through an AI assistant or MCP-enabled service. The focused public coffee guide does not ask for payment card data, shipping addresses, account credentials, or precise location.
  • Review and community information: review text, rating, display name, photos or videos, and verification status when you submit a review.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, links selected, referring page, approximate location, and cookie or similar identifiers.
  • Email and text activity: whether a message was delivered, opened, selected, or answered, along with the preferences you set.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • process payments, orders, shipping, returns, and subscriptions;
  • provide customer service and coffee or brewing guidance;
  • provide catalog, recommendation, brewing, and Shopify checkout-handoff responses through AI-enabled interfaces;
  • send service messages, order updates, and messages you asked to receive;
  • personalize store content and product suggestions without hiding the final choice from you;
  • measure and improve the store, advertising, products, and customer experience;
  • detect fraud, secure our systems, enforce our terms, and meet legal obligations; and
  • keep appropriate business and tax records.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to keep the store working, remember preferences, understand site use, measure marketing, and show relevant advertising. These tools may connect activity across websites or devices.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some analytics or advertising activity may be treated as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under certain state laws. Where required, you can opt out through Your Privacy Choices. We also honor Global Privacy Control signals where legally required and supported.

Browser Do Not Track signals do not have a single accepted technical standard, so our site may not respond to them. You can still use our privacy choices page, browser controls, and device settings.

Who receives information

We share information only as needed with service providers and other parties that help us operate the business. Examples include:

  • Shopify and payment providers for the storefront, checkout, payments, fraud prevention, and customer privacy tools;
  • AI platform providers, such as OpenAI or Anthropic, when you choose to use Wild Calf through their interfaces. Those providers process your conversation and tool requests under their own terms and privacy notices. Wild Calf receives the tool information sent to its service.
  • carriers and fulfillment services for shipping and delivery;
  • Bold Subscriptions for recurring order management;
  • Klaviyo and Postscript for email and text messaging;
  • Judge.me for customer reviews;
  • analytics, advertising, and social media providers when those services are active; and
  • professional advisers, insurers, government agencies, or other parties when reasonably necessary to protect rights, comply with law, or complete a business transaction.

Service providers may process information under their own terms and privacy notices. We do not authorize them to use your phone number or text-message consent for their own unrelated marketing.

Email and text messages

You can unsubscribe from marketing email through the link in the message. If you join our text program, consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. We may still send nonmarketing messages needed to complete an order or answer your request.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including customer service, order history, subscriptions, fraud prevention, tax and accounting records, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. Retention periods vary by the type of record and the law that applies. We may retain deidentified information that can no longer reasonably identify you.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of personal information, and to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.

To make a request, email orders@wildcalf.com, call (406) 480-6432, or use Your Privacy Choices. You may also review our data deletion instructions. We may need to verify your identity. An authorized agent may submit a request when allowed by law, but we may ask for proof of authority and identity.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. If we deny a request and your state gives you a right to appeal, reply to our decision or email us with the subject “Privacy Appeal.”

Children

Our store is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, but no internet system is completely secure. Shopify and other service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices, services, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide any additional notice required by law.
