The easiest way to choose a Wild Calf blend is to decide where you want to start on the roast spectrum. The five core blends are listed below from lightest to darkest.
- Morning Kick: lightest
- Run Wild: light-medium
- Plains Drifter: medium
- Cattle Baron: medium-dark
- 5 Wire: darkest
Start with the roast level you already enjoy
If you usually buy lighter coffee, begin with Morning Kick or Run Wild. If you usually buy darker coffee, begin with Cattle Baron or 5 Wire. Plains Drifter sits in the middle.
Use the smallest useful commitment
A 12 oz bag is the practical first try. Move to a larger bag after you know it fits. A subscription is optional and can be skipped, paused, or canceled.
