‎Our Story: Born of the Land, Brewed for the Soul

Meet Sara Harmon

Behind every great cup of Wild Calf Coffee is Sara Harmon—a North Dakota ranch girl with Norwegian pioneer roots and an unwavering belief that everyone deserves exceptional coffee.

From the Prairie to the Perfect Cup

Sara grew up on the Montana border near Williston, North Dakota, where her family's ranching heritage runs generations deep. Her Norwegian great-grandmother homesteaded alone at just sixteen years old—a spirit of resilience and determination that Sara carries forward today.

After years as a beloved elementary school teacher, Sara's life took an unexpected turn during time spent in Seattle. There, at the legendary Espresso Vivace, she discovered what coffee could truly be—not just a morning necessity, but an art form, a moment of genuine pleasure, a daily ritual worth savoring.

A Mission Born of Love

Sara returned to Montana with a mission: bring that same exceptional coffee experience to the ranchers, farmers, teachers, and hardworking families of the Northern Plains—people who deserved better than gas station coffee but didn't have access to specialty roasters.

Wild Calf Coffee was born from this simple conviction. Every batch is small-batch roasted with the same care Sara puts into everything she does. Every blend is crafted to honor both the craft she learned in Seattle and the honest, no-nonsense character of her homeland.

The Wild Calf Difference

When you drink Wild Calf Coffee, you're not just getting exceptional beans. You're getting Sara's promise—that quality and authenticity aren't luxuries reserved for big cities. They're values that belong on every kitchen table, in every ranch house, at every early morning before the work begins.

This is coffee with roots. This is coffee with heart. This is Wild Calf.
